Enjoy your break at Pen-y-Bryn Farm during autumn and winter 2018


As we head towards autumn and winter draws nearer, there are lots of places to visit throughout our surrounding area in North Wales. Whether it is a fun event for all of the family, a weeks holiday during October half term break or a cosy couples night in or out, there are a variety of ways to spend your time during your visit. Take a look at a few of our suggestions for enjoying yourself during your break here at Pen-y-Bryn Farm and Holiday Cottages.

September

  • Accessible to all, this years Memory Walk will once again raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. This will take place on the 9th in Llandudno, with sign in at 12.30pm and the walk itself beginning at 1.30pm. For more information, please click here.

  • Throughout the month of September, CADW will be hosting its Open Door events across the region. From castles to churches and other historic buildings, you can discover some of the hidden treasures of Wales' culture and history and explore some buildings that are usually closed to the public. October

  • From the 23rd to the 27th, Tim Firth and Gary Barlows hit show based on the movie Calendar Girls will be hosted by Venue Cymru in Llandudno. As a huge fan of the play, I can't recommend it highly enough! You'll laugh and cry your way through this sensational stage show and relish every moment.   • Gwledd Conwy Feast will be back on the 26-28th of October. Expect live music, stalls, plenty of places to eat and drink and all kinds of activities to keep the whole family entertained. For more information, please click here.

November

  • Snowdonia Walking Festival returns from the 3rd to the 4th of November. The walks will be set in the unique and magical surroundings of Snowdonia National Park. Based in Betws-y-Coed, these professionally guided walks will take you to mountains and forests to enjoy some of the best Snowdonia has to offer. Click here for more information.

  • From Thursday the 15th to Sunday the 18th, Llandudno Christmas Fayre, which is recognised as Wales' largest, returns to the town. Expect over 150 stalls selling all kinds of products and produce and enjoy a wide selection of local food and drink. Click here for more information.

December

  • The 8th sees the return of Conwy Winterfest which is organised by local business owners. With street entertainers, musicians, choirs, Clerical Error Black Face Morris Dancers, sword fighting on Lancaster Square, hot chestnuts and much more. There will be a torch lit procession with Armoured Knights and their Ladies at 5.45pm. For more information, please click here to visit their facebook page.

  • From the 8th to the 30th, visit Venue Cymru in Llandudno to see the wonderful stage production of Cinderella. This popular pantomime is a great way to spend some time with family and friends during the festive period. For more information, please click here to visit the website.
